Job Summary
This position works in clinical settings with groups of nursing students, helping students apply theory to practice situations and develop critical thinking skills. Hours vary by course, and range from 6-12 hour days, depending on the clinical site. Areas of expertise include psychiatric health. Positions are needed for both graduate and undergraduate student groups.
Essential Functions
1. Supervise the clinical experience of a group of nursing students (5-8 students per group). 
2. Grade clinical paperwork. 
3. Communicate with course coordinator re: progress of clinical students. 
4. Serve as a liaison between the clinical agency and the course coordinator.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MSN with minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse and active unencumbered Illinois RN license for graduate students.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous teaching experience. 
2. MSN preferred for undergraduate students.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Must be able to provide nursing care to groups of patients; supervise unlicensed nursing students; transportation to clinical agency sites.
Work Hours
Hours vary by course, and range from 6-12 hour days, depending on the clinical site.
