The Westside Jobs Collaborative (WJC) in partnership with the Business and Human Resource Center (BHRC) and the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) will be presenting its Fall Fair. The Job Connection is a two-day resource and employment fair geared toward un-employed workers in Chicago, including dislocated workers, ex-offenders, persons with disabilities, and youth.

The first day (October 21st) will consist of applicant registration, assessment, referrals for social services, and an invitation to meet with employers in day two (October 28th). Employers will be present to start the interview and application process for qualified job seekers on October 28th.

We are living in one of the most challenging times in our history. The WJC developed the two day resource and employment model to assist employers by pre-screening job seekers for soft and hard skills and providing education, training, and support services to job seekers who need a little help in becoming job ready. We also request employers provide us with information about the positions they have available.
