Company OverviewIn 1917, Father Edward J. Flanagan founded Boys Town in Omaha, NE and started the commitment to help children in need. In 2000, Boys Town became Girls and Boys Town and the commitment to youth continues. Girls and Boys Town is a nationally recognized leader in the treatment of at-risk youth and in the research and development of programs to meet their needs.The true measure of a child-care program's effectiveness is in it's ability to bring about actual, positive changes in the way a child thinks, feels and behaves. In order to bring about positive changes, Girls and Boys Town has developed programs that improve the quality of life for children and families. Together, the programs work as an integrated system that provide a consistent structure of progressive career and treatment for children. At the core of each Girls and Boys Town program are the Girls and Boys Town 21st Century Teaching Model and dedicated child-care professionals. This combination of technology and compassion allows us to care for many different children with many different needs. The Girls and Boys Town program is now being replicated at other sites across the nation and is available as a model for youth-care providers. |
