Company OverviewSt. Coletta's of Illinois is a non-profit organization founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.Founded in 1949 and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Coletta's is a social service agency providing residential, educational and vocational services to 400 individuals with developmental disabilities/mental retardation, without regard to race, religion, or economic background. Each individual is given the opportunity to grow in the least restrictive setting, which meets his or her needs and abilities. From 1990-1992 all consumers moved from an institutional environment to totally community-based program areas. In 2001 a state-of-the-art vocational center serving 150 consumers, and administration building opened in Tinley Park. Within two years, an increase of 60 new consumers in vocational services prompted a 30,000 sq. ft. addition onto the existing 76,000 sq. ft. facility. All vocational and educational services are provided at the new site; homes are within 15 southwest suburban areas of Chicago. Our Mission: Providing support and funding for special needs individuals in the areas of: Residential Care Educational Programs Medical Care Religious and Pastoral Care Vocational Services Specialized Facilities It is our mission to provide funding for the services to meet the needs of the entire person. This includes tending to medical needs on a daily basis, comfort and support during times of illness, accidents or surgical procedures. St. Coletta's of Illinois provides guidance and support of spirituality through religious and pastoral care. |
