Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President, the Director of Enrollment Operations is responsible for the administration of RFU's enrollment operations, software/data information systems (Technolutions Slate and Ellucian Colleague), and communications management. The director who will be an innovative, thoughtful, and results-oriented leader will oversee the development and management of processes for the Office of Admissions and Enrollment, including application workflows, document processing (physical and electronic), data collection and transferring, CRM support, and maintenance for the office's technological resources. The Director will also support and advance the office's commitment to customer service, brand promise, personalization, partnerships, and pipeline development. The Director is a key member of the admissions and enrollment team, serving as a senior leader.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead five-member admissions operations and technology team.

  • Serve as RFU's Slate Captain and lead all aspects of Technolutions Slate CRM system, including documentation, data management, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Advise AVP on best practices in the design of the tools, people systems, and processes that will support enrollment strategies with a focus on operational efficiency, continuous assessment and improvement, and optimizing the impact of resources.

  • Lead the process of scoping, prioritizing, and executing all projects related to admissions technology.

  • Supervise implementation of new features and processes to improve the external user experience and internal productivity.

  • Responsible for auditing systems, technologies, and processes, ensuring integrity and quality.

  • Responsible for ensuring the accurate, student-centered execution of communications, including status updates, decisions, scholarship awards, and drip campaigns across various mediums (print, email, text).

  • Coordinate technology training for all users, promoting beginning, intermediate, and expert level of knowledge and use.

  • Supervise and develop operations, technology, and communications staff, supporting success of strategic enrollment plans.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

  • Develop working knowledge of Axiom and the Argos reporting instance.

  • Lead development and use of admissions queries, reports, and dashboards for data analysis.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

Required Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in college student personnel, student affairs, or a related field.

  • Five years or more of progressively responsible experience in higher education admissions, including CRM management & staff supervision/mentorship.

  • Experience implementing data management software applications and/or information systems end-to-end, including data conversion, post-production support and troubleshooting.

  • Experience managing and integrating enterprise applications using web services, API(s) and other technologies.

  • Experience integrating across programs and building organizational structure to deliver an outstanding, student-centered enrollment experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google products.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Can effectively communicate technical concepts to end users, business stakeholders and management both verbally and in writing.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Comprehensive understanding of enrollment data analysis, report development, and report delivery mechanisms.

  • Ability to work with large data sets, verifying and checking data thoroughly for accuracy and completeness, and importing and exporting files between software programs.

  • Can prioritize, problem solve, and organize tasks to meet deadlines and follow through on assignments with minimal direction, often under pressure.

  • Be curious and eager to learn and understand the "why."

  • Develop thorough, clear, and concise business process documentation.

  • Ability to build and manage productive relationships with internal and external constituents.

  • Current knowledge of admissions best practices and higher education trends.

  • Ability to work with a diverse team and student body effectively.

  • Must be willing and able to travel within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong fluency with centralized application services.

  • Experience with health professions program administration strongly preferred.

  • Experience using SQL, JavaScript, REST and SOAP APIs, HTML, and XML or other similar formats.
