To provide leadership and direction to RN, LPN, NT, and CNA staff, assuring safety and security of all patients. Provides direct nursing care when the need arises including care and management for patients of all ages requiring hospital medical based rehabilitation services. To assess the persons served, assure for completion of nursing paperwork, and participate in the development of the multi-disciplinary treatment plans and nursing plan of care. Provide leadership and direction during medical/behavioral crisis/emergency situations.

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Broad knowledge of nursing principals in various fields (psychiatric, medical, and rehabilitation). Must be flexible and adapt readily to changing situations and maintains therapeutic objectivity. Maintains constant awareness of professional image, (leadership, role model, judgement, teaching, etc.). Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates and promotes loyalty, integrity and appreciation for facility goals. Must plan continued education and professional growth for self. Must be able to physically and emotionally handle clinical and administrative responsibilities. To be proficient in the EMR Welsky within 90 days of hire.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and appropriate experience. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred, CRRN certified preferred. Current ACLS certification and/or willingness to obtain.
Licensure: Current Wisconsin registration as a Registered Nurse. CPR certification.
Experience: Two years of experience with preferred experience/training in hospital based, medical rehabilitation or psychiatric setting. Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
