Team / Division Overview

Transfer Agency services for certain products are outsourced to several vendors and is managed by the DWS Transfer Agency Business Management (TABM) group. As a vendor liaison, your responsibilities in performing oversight will ensure the vendors manage the business needs as dictated by contractual arrangements, DWS Management, other DWS business leaders, and regulations governing various investment products. You will primarily focus on oversight of operational activities of DWS mutual fund products serviced by a key vendor.

Role Details

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for the following (not a complete list):

  • Monitor, track, and report on service delivery and performance outlined in the vendor service agreement (service level agreements), deliver results regularly to management and peers, and communicate expectations to the vendor in order to ensure excellent service to our shareholders

  • Randomly sample transactions for quality each month. Address any issues or concerns with TA vendor in the early stages to correct situation and avoid any long-term challenges.

  • Review weekly vendor performance reports identifying items in need of escalation or input. Escalate any issues as necessary with vendor and appropriate DWS management

  • Lead effort to respond to requests made by legal, compliance, internal/external auditors, regulators, and other entities tasked with obtaining data and evidence of existing controls and that they are properly designed and working effectively

  • Assist with shepherding critical vendors through internal third-party risk management process

  • Participate in annual vendor due diligence meetings helping coordinate all aspects of meeting to ensure all corporate objectives are met

  • Coordinate annual review and update of departmental processes and procedures providing feedback, suggestions, and recommendations for changes as necessary to ensure efficiencies and cost preventative measures are implemented

  • Develop strong working relationships with outsourced vendor and internal contacts

  • Perform periodic process reviews of department/functions at the outsourced transfer agency with a focus on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

  • Facilitate system access and removal of access to outsourced transfer agent.

  • Perform other oversight functions as requested

  • Promote efficiencies, cost savings, and service enhancements by recommending necessary process improvements when applicable

  • Assist in senior management and board reporting when necessary

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Three to five years financial services experience

  • Experience with Transfer Agency Operations is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset

  • Be able to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently and quickly adjust priorities to ensure all deadlines are met fully and accurately

  • Interact with managers, peers, vendors and other internal clients in a tactful, constructive, cooperative and enthusiastic manner

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player who is proactive and ability to work independently as well as work with others in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment.

  • Execute tactically on a day-to-day basis

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications
