Provide patient care at the direction of nursing staff
Document care provided according to standards
Maintain a clean work and resident environment
Maintain supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies
Participate in formal on-the-job training, mentoring, and department meetings
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preferred Degree: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with the exception of applicants who are attending high school
Experience:
Entry Level, with a genuine compassion and patience for senior adults
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Must be accepted into a local, approved CNA Training Program
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to communicate information in one-on-one of small group circumstances
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Ability to put the resident at the center of everything you do by providing authentic and empathetic care
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift heavier weights in excess of 50 pounds
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
