As a Managed Services Observability and Administration Architect & Team Lead, you will utilize your Observability expertise and experience to architect, design, develop and deploy solutions within the AHEAD Managed Services Observability and Administration tooling platforms. You will drive a collaborative team, leading, mentoring and ensuring engineering and development efforts are well documented and delivered with quality, owning the overall outcome of your team's projects, while helping ensure consistent, ongoing operation of the Managed Services Observability and Administration tooling deployments. You will be responsible for front line management of the team developing for and operating the AHEAD Managed Services Observability and Administration tooling environment. The Observability and Administration Architect is an experienced subject matter expert and focuses on development and delivery of value-added integration and consultative services in the area of Enterprise solutions, designing, deploying and integrating various product sets.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developers and engineers to deploy solutions on the Observability and System Administration tooling platforms
  • Owns the knowledge transfer process between Project and Operations teams
  • Lead the architecture and design of complex solutions
  • Lead the creation of written deliverables
  • Lead integration design sessions
  • Assist with overall platform strategy and drive the roadmap
  • Oversee the quality of themes, epics, and stories
  • Maintains best-practice standards for the development and engineering teams
  • Escalation point for development and engineering teams
  • Work to influence team members, broader internal team, and external customers, likely including senior management, to agree and accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
  • Obtain and maintain certifications with associated qualifications
  • Maintain expert level certifications
  • Identify and communicate opportunities
  • Provide thought leadership to AHEAD and our customers
  • Communicate with external customers, which may include top management, on matters that require explanation, interpretation, and / or advising
  • Craft innovative and high impact solutions for complex client programs, relying on large teams to implement
  • Contribute to projects/programs that may address future concepts, products, and technologies
  • Drive consensus with customer in solving complex solution
Qualifications
  • Subject matter expert on Observability platforms available in the marketplace for Enterprises and Service Provider, specifically including Elastic Observability and LogicMonitor
  • Expert knowledge on all major Observability solution capabilities
  • Knowledge on major system administration tooling and capabilities
  • Recognized expertise in own area within the organization
  • Demonstrate deep expertise across multiple technologies
  • Able to articulate trade-offs between architecture approaches
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong project and situational awareness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter
  • Able to travel of at least 25%
  • Minimum of 8 years of Systems Architecture experience

  • Primary contributor to complex workshops that span multiple practice areas inside of AHEAD
  • Be able to provide advanced data or situational analysis that requires the evaluation of intangibles
  • Drive scoping, planning, and methodology for critical projects
  • Work on impactful and unique issues
