Your Role at Baxter:

As the Medical Affairs Manager - Pharmaceuticals you will provide medical expertise in support of our Pharmaceuticals business segment in the United States and Canada. You will work closely with cross functional colleagues, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to address unmet medical needs and optimize the impact of our therapies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Executing on the defined medical affairs strategy
  • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to support product launches and therapy campaigns
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and providing training internally and externally with respect to proper use of products and their place in therapy and how they fit within the pharmacy and clinical workflow
  • Engaging and building collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to build scientific support for our products and therapies
  • Monitoring, assessing, reporting, and providing education on professional standards and guidelines that impact the use of the product portfolio
  • Collaborating and developing relationships with relevant professional organizations in order to provide high quality medical education and provide input into and understand guidelines and standards of practice
  • Providing support to the Medical Information, Product Surveillance, and Pharmacovigilance teams as needed

What you'll bring:

  • Registered Pharmacist (B.S. or Pharm.D.) with a minimum of 5 years of clinical and operational experience in an acute care Pharmacy
  • Former experience in industry/MA preferred
  • Self-starter with a teamwork orientation
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to provide education on complex scientific/clinical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking and teaching skills, and strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Maturity, confidence, and credibility to advise and influence other internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time
  • Strong business acumen and impeccable integrity
