Class A CDL Driver

(overnights required)

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking aClass A CDL driver for our Chicago team. You will be driving regional routes based out of the Wheeling district and other surrounding states.

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer service-focused. The responsibilities will include driving long distances, and overnights for waste pickups and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous waste, regulated medical waste, and other materials at client sites and to designated end disposal facilities.

This position reports to the off-site Manager and is based out of the Wheeling or Mundelein, IL.

Essential responsibilities and duties include:

• Operate a truck to load and transport hazardous waste from client sites.
• Pick-up and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials with a sharp focus on customer service.
• Drive long distances with some overnights (approx. 2-3 nights and home every weekend).
• WOW! internal and external customers daily, in keeping with the guidelines of the Triumvirate Environmental Mission Statement.
• Show determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices.
• Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEIs Health and Safety Practices.
• Understand and execute all required paperwork.
• Routinely perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Hazmat endorsements.
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, hazardous waste field.
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn.
• Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening.

Preferred skills:

• Completion of 40 Hour OSHA, CPR and First Aid Training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computers.
• Tanker Endorsement.
• Manual Driving experience.
