Position Purpose:

Partners with and supports HRBP team through job evaluation and market pricing analysis in order to provide appropriate compensation guidance considering both internal equity and external market competitiveness. Actively participates in compensation program development activities and initiatives to evolve and improve current compensation programs. Manages and coordinates compensation projects for North America field operations and commercial functions.

Key Job Activities:
  • Effectively partner with HR Business Partners and business client to consult and influence outcomes to compensation-related issues that are in alignment with compensation standards and company guidelines.
  • Consults, analyzes and advises HR Business Partners regarding market analysis, job evaluation, pay equity and other compensation initiatives. Provide guidance to more junior level team members.
  • Works with all levels of management and HR business partners to identify and define projects that would improve/enhance present compensation practices and the integration of acquisitions. Conducts job analysis and job leveling relating to all acquisitions, as needed.
  • Prepares informational materials, including training materials, to assist managers and human resource generalists in understanding and participating in compensation philosophy and processes. Facilitates training for management and HR.
  • Assists with the development and modeling of annual salary planning recommendations and communication of results.
  • Evaluates geographic market surveys to determine proper alignment of locations to geographic differential zones.
  • Assist in leading job architecture projects focused on the design and structure of job titles and levels and the connection to compensation framework.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing compensation.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new compensation plans, processes, and communication tools. Completes special projects as required or requested.
  • Coordinate efforts with legal, compliance and other business partners to conduct data and cost analyses to be used in response to employee concerns and in support of collective bargaining responses.

Performs other related duties as required or requested including, but not limited to:

  • Responds to day-to-day compensation-related questions concerns
  • Evaluates new and revised positions; recommending appropriate grade and title based on external market as well as internal equity
  • Assists management in the development of job descriptions

Experience (North America):
  • Education equivalent to bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business, or other related field, or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform complex compensation-related analysis and make recommendations in support of analysis.

Licenses and Required Competencies:

  • One to two years demonstrating the ability to lead moderately complex to complex projects, which could potentially be long-term in nature.
  • Previous exposure to stock plan administration strongly preferred.
  • Previous exposure to international compensation a plus.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of local, state, and federal compliance laws, including DOL, FLSA, Anti-Trust Regulations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with all levels of management in making grade recommendations for new and revised positions, as well as Total Compensation package recommendations for new hires and organizational advancement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and present compensation-related training and information to all levels of personnel within the organization.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
