As the Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for partnering with a specific line of business or function and leading the financial planning and analytics to achieve business goals and objectives and support leadership decision-making. This highly cross functional role will partner with a variety of business teams and broader finance teams to meet financial and operational goals. This role spans both ongoing operational goals as well as numerous strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain the company's Retail Assortment optimization models which enable the assortment optimization strategy (e.g. identifying gaps, rationalizing current mix)
  • Support the preparation of materials for leadership discussions to evaluate assortment optimization initiatives
  • Deliver actionable customer insights to expand PLR, customer margins and store presence
  • Develop and own financial models and financial target setting for various growth strategies. This includes leveraging various internal experts to refine projections and estimates
  • Evaluate ongoing financial performance vis a vis the targets set for various strategic initiatives
  • Continuously improve the forecast models; providing frequent variance analysis to enable growth including identification of risks and opportunities
  • Support insights on performance ranging from daily to annual time horizons
  • Leverage historical trends to provide direction for business activities
  • Collaborate with cross functional sales & product teams to perform analysis that supports business cases and insights from market development tactics. Analysis could span pricing, new products, promotions, or store placement.
  • Develop and own various models for the product strategies as needed, in close partnership with the Retail Market Development business team
  • Ability to get deep into the data to identify trends and opportunities, at granular levels using disparate data sources
  • Support the preparation of materials for leadership discussions to evaluate initiatives
  • Develop, standardize, automate and run repeatable reports, scorecards and other analytical tools to measure financial impact for relevant business area
  • Drive standardization and process improvement for analysis and forecasting, including best practices; enable proper execution of controls; own standardization, process improvement and forecast best practices

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Strategy or another quantitative discipline required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in applicable finance field.
  • Master's Degree in related field preferred
  • Experience in a large business unit within a sophisticated, global, public company environment preferred
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with outstanding attention to detail
  • Curiosity for understanding the "why" behind the business results
  • Proven ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data into actionable insights.
  • Articulates views in a clear and concise manner and can share clear insights and observations that will manifest into business decisions and thoughtful recommendations to customers.
  • Willingness to handle ambiguity in data availability and definitive metrics
  • Expert level skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Tableau preferred
  • Good listening skills with outstanding interpersonal qualities and a natural, effective consultative style; sought out for opinions and counsel and ability to forge and maintain close relationships
  • Strong bias for results
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, change oriented environment, yet flexible enough to adapt to changes
  • Experience in retail or CPG, or a high degree of passion and comfort with the retail and CPG manufacturer space
  • Familiarity with working with project management teams
