Job Description

The Developer Education Specialist will be responsible for creating and implementing educational programs that familiarize developers with our internally developed platforms and microservices. The goal is to enable developers across different product lines to seamlessly integrate these technologies into their projects, optimizing functionality and enhancing product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine educational materials and training modules that cater to a diverse developer audience, from new hires to seasoned staff.

  • Conduct workshops and training sessions that cover the utilization of company-specific platforms, tools, and microservices.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.

  • Collaborate with software development, product, and technical teams to gain insights into upcoming technologies and updates.

  • Provide ongoing support and resources to developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.

  • Partner with our Product partners to help them understand internally built central services and how they can be best leveraged within their own product roadmaps

  • Partner with HR to inform talent acquisition strategy with specific development needs in mind

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in software development and/or technical education.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of software development practices and ecosystem integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver impactful educational content and programs.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in instructional design tailored to technical audiences.

- Proficiency with modern e-learning platforms and instructional technologies.

- Prior exposure to a fintech environment or similar high-tech industries.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $97,000.00 - $129,000.00
