Community Outreach to Veterans

| These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Veterans receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience. |
Albany Park Community Center's Veteran's Workforce Development Department The Albany Park Community Center's Veterans Employment and Transition Services Department specializes in assisting veterans with employment and workforce development services. With four veterans on staff, the Albany Park Community Center's Veterans Program works to connect veterans with veteran-friendly employers, thus helping them to obtain sustainable employment while assisting with their transition from military to civilian life. |

American Legion Illinois We are the State Headquarters of The American Legion. Chartered by Congress in 1919, The American Legion was founded as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans organization. We are a community service organization which now numbers over 156,000 members in Illinois, in over 800 local Posts. These Posts are organized into Divisions, Districts and Counties. Each Division, District and County has officers who provide leadership in their respective areas. |

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago - St. Leo Campus for Veterans For the last 10 years, Catholic Charities in our city has seen a significant increase of vets who come to us for help. We believe that those heroes who have given so much to our country deserve our support during their time of need. St. Leo is the first program of its kind and is a part of the solution to homelessness and poverty among veterans.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago - Veteran's Employment Project Mission: Assists veterans in finding and maintaining employment. Provides services such as job readiness training, resume writing assistance, mock interviews, and job placement counseling. A job readiness and referral counselor works with local businesses to screen applicants who might fill a variety of skill needs.
