Since 1908, the sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha has responded to the world’s increasing complexity. It continues to empower communities through exemplary service initiatives and progressive programs.

The Chicago Chapter is part of the national network of 117 other ASWA Chapters throughout the United States with more than 7,000 members. The mission of ASWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.

Between Friends is a nonprofit agency dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and building a community free of abuse.

Bottomless Closet provides professional clothing, job readiness, and post-employment training and coaching services to women on assistance and working-poor women. The mission of Bottomless Closet is to support women in transition by providing business professional clothing, career skills and image coaching, empowering them to interview with confidence, gain employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Breakthrough Urban Ministries offers a new model for the delivery of homeless services. The organization is intentional about treating every person in need of its services with dignity and respect. When guests arrive at Breakthrough, they receive much more than a bed to sleep in—they receive the tools necessary to achieve self-sufficiency.

Business and Professional Women’s Foundation (BPW Foundation) empowers working women to achieve their full potential and partners with employers to build successful workplaces through education, research, knowledge and policy.

Chicago Women in Trades (CWIT) is celebrating 25 years of supporting, encouraging, and training women in high-skilled, high-wage nontraditional careers. Originally established by tradeswomen as a support network, CWIT addresses the barriers that prohibit women and girls from entering and succeeding in male-dominated industries by creating opportunities and promoting equitable workplaces and conditions.

The purpose of the Women’s Center is to serve the unique needs of the College’s female students, staff and community members by providing a safe physical location that offers the following: consultation/referral to counseling, support/discussion groups, workshops, gender-specific resources, networking opportunities and county referral, outreach programming, celebrations, and speakers on women’s and gender issues.

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is a non-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and addresses the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence

Deborah's Place is Chicago's largest provider of supportive housing exclusively for women and is recognized as an innovative leader among homeless service providers locally and nationally. Our track record demonstrates that working collaboratively with our participants, offering a range of high quality services and trying new approaches places Deborah's Place at the forefront of agencies making a difference to those in need in Chicago.

Dress for Success Worldwide is an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women located in 78 cities across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and New Zealand. The professional clothing, employment retention programs and ongoing support that we provide our clients symbolize our faith in every woman’s ability to be self-sufficient and successful in her career.

Since 1982, Employment and Employer Services has worked to strengthen the connection between job seekers, employers, and government so that Chicago continues to flourish as The City That Works. During those twenty-five years, we have helped over 50,000 people find good jobs with more than 3,000 Chicagoland employers.

Family Shelter Service transforms lives by offering help and hope to those affected by domestic violence.

Welcome to Neopolitan Lighthouse, a free program to shelter, encourage, educate and emotionally support women victims of domestic violence and their children. In a warm, homelike environment, Neopolitan Lighthouse offers support and skills to cope with domestic violence.

Mid Central Community Action, Inc's overall goal is to help individuals and families reach self sufficiency. In order to accomplish this outcome we form partnerships with a variety of local governmental bodies, private businesses, educational institutions and other human services. We work cooperatively to create and provide both safety nets and life improvement opportunities for people and families living in poverty in McLean and Livingston County.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders. Founded in 1950, SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, outreach and advocacy activities, and much more.
