This position contributes to the success of the Chicago Zoological Society by producing and maintaining signage and related graphics to facilitate an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities:
Produces welcome and special events signage in an accurate and timely manner. Performs sign maintenance, as necessary. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
2+ years college education preferred. Design coursework, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. 2 years related experience operating Macintosh computer and Adobe Creative Suites required; FlexiCut Software experience preferred. Basic knowledge of graphic design and experience using traditional art supplies desired. Must have proven design sensibility, including typography, design and color. Must possess good organizational and communications skills. Must have strong attention to detail. Experience operating a Roland vinyl letter/graphic cutter and laminator preferred. Must have proven ability to meet critical deadlines. Valid driver’s license required. Illinois residents must possess a valid Illinois license within 90 days of hire. Valid out-of-state license required for out-of-state residents. Spanish fluency a plus, but not required.
