This position is responsible for the management and direction of all blood collection activity for mobile and Community Donor Center operations and Donor Relations. It provides direction to the Regional Managers of Donor Services in the management and planning of blood collection activities at all locations to ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational guidelines; the achievement of the collection goal, integration of Six Sigma principles into departmental work processes, workforce development and the application of Donor First philosophy. In collaboration with the VP of Donor Programs this position develops departmental strategic initiatives to align with the strategic vision of ITxM and LifeSource and develops the department annual business plan for organizational growth and success.

This position will provide technical and management oversight to meet targeted operational goals. Prepares and monitors budgets for all areas of responsibility. Develops long and short term strategies and action plans to attain departmental objectives to meet LifeSource core goals. This position will coach the team in all areas of collection operations, hold regular management and staff meetings to communicate changes and accomplishments, and investigate areas of growth and revenue potential.

The Executive Director will promote Donor First philosophy in all aspects of department management by enforcing customer service standards to exceed expectations and improve Donor retention. Must have strategic analytical skills, be able to quickly anticipate needs, and develop complex problem solving models.

At least 10 years of progressive healthcare management experience required. Previous Blood Banking experience a plus. Bachelors degree in health related field required. Master's preferred. RN licensure required.
