Corporate Chief Estimator
Rolling Meadows, IL

MYR Group Inc., one of the oldest and largest electrical contractors in the country, has an immediate opportunity for a Corporate Chief Estimator at its Rolling Meadows, IL corporate office.

Some of the job responsibilities will include:
? Scheduling and leading corporate teleconference reviews of large bids prepared by multiple district operations across the US.
? Reviewing spreadsheet bids for mathematical and typographical errors.
? Comparing bid assumptions versus cost histories for reasonableness, and reporting results on teleconference.
? Collection and maintenance of corporate bid logs with reporting to accounting group.
? Verifying operating district compliance with corporate bid policy.
? Collection and maintenance of documents corresponding to SOX compliance as it relates to corporate bid policy.
? Other duties as assigned

A qualified candidate must have the following:
? 10 years + developing proposals and estimates for preferably for construction projects.
? B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
? Understanding of construction contractual terms and conditions.
? Strong MS Excel Skills.
? Experience with enterprise software accounting platform JD Edwards or similar.
