Per Diem Pharmacy Technician

Description: As a Pharmacy Technician you will assist with various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and auditing patient records. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of your daily job duties and responsibilities. This position will work during pharmacy hours on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:

- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of IL

- Experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or retail setting

- Clean driving record and ability to lift and carry med carts (40lbs)

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

About the Hospital and the Pharmacy: Located in an attractive residential setting, the Pavilion offers distinct, highly structured inpatient and partial hospitalization programs for the treatment of alcohol, drug, and psychiatric problems. The Pharmacy is opening mornings and evenings from Sun-Fri. There are scheduled 5-6 hour shifts and scheduled 3 hour shifts.
