Under general direction, this intermediate-level position within the International financial job family responsible for creating financial models for prospective International businesses and/or joint ventures. This position analyzes and determines financial feasibility of mergers and/or acquisitions for prospective International businesses and/or joint ventures. This position typically analyzes foreign business ventures in which TransUnion anticipates to hold partial ownership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action for senior management.

2. Provides input regarding the negotiation of purchase agreements. Develops negotiation strategy for prospective affiliates and/or joint business ventures (stock purchase, loan, shareholder agreements, etc).

3. Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, foreign accounting theory, or customer financial needs as it relates to the context of the position.

4. Analyzes moderate to complex financial information to determine present, and forecast future financial performance. Prepares presentations for management.

5. Identifies financial trends and recommends improvements accordingly.

6. Prepares studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, government requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections and business forecasts.

7. Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements i.e. valuations and due diligence and make appropriate recommendations as the result of them.

8. Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.

9. Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

10. Coordinates with all levels of management, attorneys, and consultants to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.

11. Researches and prepares economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.

12. Interprets and applies corporate financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory.

13. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in accounting, business finance, or related field with at least five (5) years of progressive professional experience in an accounting or financial analysis capacity.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general financial documents, periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to work in groups and individually. Spanish fluency preferred.

Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to forecast financial possibilities. The incumbent must above average skill in researching and interpreting foreign GAAP and tax laws.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from complex projects. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to work on projects individually and within a group context. Maybe required to lead projects and individuals as required.

Computer Skills:
Ability to use personal computers and the applicable software applications used by the business unit.

Other Skills:
Must be able to work within consistently changes deadlines. Must be able to construct project outlines as related to the work within the business unit.
