Job Description: The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; developing and managing staff; working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development and business development activities; and formulating and delivering innovative tax planning and tax savings strategies. The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for an assigned group of clients.

Duties and Responsibilities::

  • Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client service teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and manage to budget.
  • Review intricate income tax returns including Corporate, S-Corp, partnership and individual clients.
  • Manage communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and make sure deadlines are met.
  • Team with partners and management on proposals and business development. Qualifications for this position include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA, Masters in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD is required
  • Corporate, S-Corp. and/or Partnership experience is required
  • Ability to manage staff as well as multiple engagements and competing priorities.
  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience is required
  • Experience in working for a large accounting firm preferred.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP, corporate consolidated returns, tax compliance, partnership returns and combined state tax returns.
