Position Overview
Customer Marketing Manager, International will report to the Director, Global Customer Marketing with a dotted-line reporting structure to Vice President, International Sales.  The individual will work closely with the International field sales team, Marketing, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, Product Development, Creative Services, Finance, and Purchasing to execute retailer and distributor-specific brand strategies that deliver profitable growth for PPI.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for execution of brand strategies with key global retailers (e.g., Boots, Superdrug) and international distributors and act as an internal steward for International sales team to liaise with brand team
  • Responsible for setting Go-to-market strategies and distribution goals to successfully forecast and launch new items
  • Manages multiple timelines, project deliverables and priorities for development and execution of merchandising initiatives such as POG recommendations, in-store displays, promotions, special packs.
  • Works collaboratively and cross-functionally with brand, creative, finance, supply chain to create and execute impactful, retailer-specific marketing projects, items and promotions across assigned brands. 
  • Develops materials, processes, pricing , and promotion strategies relevant to international markets,  while collaborating with key cross-functional partners and resources
  • Manages the international sales planning process and develops accurate and timely consensus forecasts. Drives the demand planning process from the International Sales and Customer perspective. Works with Supply Chain and Marketing to monitor product availability and replenishment to help achieve customer service and company sales and profit goals.
  • Identifies program opportunities with Sales team, analyzes and uncovers insights from various data sources such as Nielsen, IRI, and POS, or primary research, and develops plans and programs that meet profitability and feasibility considerations.
  • Collaborates with sales & marketing on international communication and preparation of key customer meetings
  • Develops case studies and encourages/leads best practices sharing, especially between US and international markets.
  • Works with agencies on shopper marketing programs, from briefing to execution and results. Writes and submits creative briefs for internal Creative Solutions team, and delivers final programs to the field sales team. 
  • Develops planograms, sell-in materials, comps, etc. for sales teams.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10-15 years of experience in CPG sales, customer marketing or trade marketing, trade planning, sales strategy, business planning roles
  • Proven success in leadership
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Literate and comfortable with forecasting and data (financials, syndicated data, such as POS and IRI/Nielsen)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to take ownership and proactively troubleshoot.
  • Big picture oriented with attention to detail
  • Strong and clear communicator with negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to travel domestic as well internationally as needed for work requirements- 25-30%
  • Beauty and/or Fashion experience is a plus
  • Fluency in a foreign language, such as Spanish, French, German, or Chinese is a plus.
  • International business experience is a huge plus.
  • Category management experience is a plus
