POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain/Sourcing Associate supports team goals and global sourcing strategies providing Paris Presents with a sustainable competitive advantage. Responsible for broadening the supplier base for new categories, satisfying the day-to-day resource needs of the department, while cooperating with other functional departments to complete projects and to address company’s overall goals.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with Product Development to execute product changes for modifications, and redesigns of current products. Manage these product changes globally with our Asian team and vendors to meet delivery, quality, and cost objectives.
Coordinate Master Spec Sheet creation with cross functional teams.
Communicate to overseas suppliers for sampling purposes.
Review samples with team and provide feedback to vendors. Record sample status
Store, organize, and maintain development samples throughout the development process
Establish strong relationship with vendors and improve effectiveness
Coordinate and request sample needs for development, testing, sales and advertising
Support Sourcing department to validate costs and achieve initial targets
Create and interpret cost analysis comparison pre and post production
Coordinate cross functional Change Management initiative for new and transitioning/changing products. Focus on process improvement through tracking, management, specifications, and development.
Coordinate Change Tracker Systems with cross functional teams.
Maintain integrity of data for supplier information and supplier database.
Keep supervisor informed of key initiatives, solicits input / feedback, and supports team priorities
Assist Global Quality Manager with Regulatory data base and Audit tracking for vendor compliance.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s College Degree – Business (Supply Chain / Marketing ideal)
Minimum: 2+ years of experience in Global Sourcing, Merchandising, Product Development, or related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
The ability to learn new software applications quickly and easily
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks without compromising the quality of work
Attentive to details; Top-notch organization skills
