Description

Responsible for following established procedures in the daily organization of Jel Sert's shipping process when coordinating daily shuttles to the distribution centers. Additionally, ensure all required documentation is accurately completed according to SOP's.

This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate day to day shuttling, deliveries and shipping process according to procedures
  • Manage dock doors to the most efficient way to avoid any congestion and or delays between in/out loads
  • Release and assist orders with proper workflow using WMS and TMS systems
  • Monitor and provide feedback on loaders performance in terms of productivity and quality
  • Expedite checking-in process and assign dock doors to drivers as necessary, while ensuring all paperwork has been completed accurately and is present before receiving a load
  • Review incoming orders for both accuracy and potential problems and communicate with materials management department as necessary
  • Determine acceptance/rejection of goods received via inspection when required
  • Prepare required documents to ensure proper shipping of all orders (packing list and Bills of Lading) to customers vendors
  • Maintain and update metrics (Pharma DS, JSW, etc.) and enter productivity reports in MS Excel
  • Record keeping of Dietary Supplements according to SQF requirements
  • Utilize WMS system to adjust inventory by conducting counts and adjusting inventory according to findings
  • Ability to back up Shipping Supervisor as needed as well perform other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years office experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Previous warehouse/inventory/distribution experience preferred
  • Experience with MS Excel required and warehouse management system experience a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work flexible hours to provide vacation/personal time off coverage as needed
  • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
  • Basic understanding of warehousing environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform computer work.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and/or analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of paperwork and computer work.
  • The work is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make observations to ensure work is accurate and as requested.
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment with activities occurring both inside and outside.

The worker is subject to hazards such as physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts or moving vehicles. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions due to office or administrative work.

This job ensures the continuous flow of inventory by accurately scheduling daily shuttles and shipments to our distribution centers while receiving incoming materials for production.
