Generac Power Systems - Work with the leader in the power industry! Our Waukesha, WI headquarters is seeking a Senior ABAP Developer!

The Senior ABAP Developer is responsible for assisting with full-system life cycle and is responsible for design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support for all Generac SAP systems including integration with non-SAP applications. This role collaborates with Systems and Business Analysts as well as cross-functional business team members to ensure that business requirements are met through technically excellent solutions. This role will focus on the global rollout of a single SAP solution, support of our regionally deployed production SAP system and provide technical support for in-progress SAP projects.

Essential Duties:

60% = Development

• Supports SAP modules by implementing, solving break/fix issues, and by providing design and development of RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflows)
• Work with project teams and technical resources to continually demonstrate solid understanding of the functionality and test data that will be required to build/unit test/assembly test/system test.
• Ensure adherence to development standards as well as creating supporting documentation per documentation standards.
• Coordinate technical aspects of operations such as solving production problems, making enhancements to the existing functionality, and fixing logical bugs in the applications.
• Develop and adapt technical solutions and options into detailed technical design documents, ensuring all functional requirements are met in the technical design.

25% = Mentor/lead/quality

• Provide development leadership regarding designing, developing, testing, reviewing code and performance tuning in all major modules of SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP CRM. 
• Provide ABAP technical expertise to SAP project teams for project-related developments.
• Carry out reviews of functional specifications, technical specifications and ABAP code reviews.
• Coordinate development tasks given to off shore development team. Drive team to meet deadlines with quality development.

15% = Support

• Provide technical support to all SAP users on matters related to the programming of SAP modules.
• Manage incident tickets. Coordinate efforts to troubleshoot and resolve development issues when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7 years of ABAP or PI development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing one international full life cycle SAP implementation utilizing off shore consultants, with experience with international projects
• Experience in troubleshooting/debugging production SAP problems
• Experience with the SAP Industrial Manufacturing solution
• Experience implementing and managing domestic full life cycle SAP implementations – including Project Cutover preparation, Go Live support, and Post Go Live Hyper Care support 
• Experience with Web Services
• Experience working with a local and off-shore help desk support – ticket management, coverage requirements, response expectations
• Previous experience with Process Orchestration migration/upgrade
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience with S4/HANA, Hybris, Ariba
• Experience in SAP Fiori / SAP Screen Personas

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Functional knowledge of all major SAP ECC modules with the ability to support multiple SAP client instances and releases
• Expert programming experience in the following technical areas: Reporting (conventional and interactive), Object Oriented ABAP, User exits, Business Add-Ins and Enhancement spots, BDC and Call-Transaction, Interface development, BAPI, Module Pool (on-line dialog), SAP Script and Smart-Forms Expert knowledge in configuration of synchronous and asynchronous interfaces
• Expertise in troubleshooting PI/PO integration to backend SAP systems, PI/PO and technical object performance tuning, interface tuning, alert monitoring, PI/PO Principle propagation, disaster recovery planning for PI/PO systems
• Strong ABAP hands-on development skills in SAP ECC with strong analytical and technical skills
• Solid experience in RF Objects, ITS, label printing, Zebra printers
• Knowledge of OSS Notes implementation, and helping with support pack upgrade technical issues
• Good knowledge of FICO, SD, PP, MM, QM modules of ECC and SAP CRM, SOLMAN, PI
• Knowledge of SOAP, IDOC, FILE, SFTP, PGP, JDBC adapter communication
• Knowledge of hardware and database capacity planning with expert-level knowledge of SAP quick sizing tool
• DMZ concept to work with B2B & B2C communication
• ABAP Webdynpro, ALE IDOCs, SAP Business Workflow, Adobe Forms, ABAP Proxies, SAP PI/XI, EDI, knowledge of SAP BW, knowledge of Crystal Reports, Data migration
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with functional team and System Analyst to understand business requirements and deliver quality solutions
• Ability to work in a group setting by collaborating with other team members, also able to work independently without assistance
