This summer internship is open to undergraduate students in their Senior year or grad students enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. As a participant, you will work with multiple teams across our technology organization. You will partner with top RF engineers in the industry to learn about latest wireless technologies like 5G, LTE, IOT etc. You are expected to contribute with your creativity and ideas, working alongside innovative colleagues and mentors who will push you to be your very best. We'll give you hands-on projects and a chance to make an immediate impact. Responsibilities As an Engineering Intern, you will work with Senior Engineers to understand different aspects of wireless network. You will have the opportunity to learn about network design and planning, network capacity, and network performance. You will work with other departments and partners to provide network solutions and analyze new technologies network performance feasibility. You will learn a wide variety of different technologies and applications alongside the industries top Engineers.
Support design functions like Ring creation, candidate selection, RF Design creation, database management and data integrity
Create justification packages for zoning hearings to support to functional groups like Site Development
Support engineers with capacity analysis and forecasting to mitigate congestion
Support daily performance activities like GSM, UMTS and LTE Voice and Data performance degradation
Learn troubleshooting & optimization methodologies and develop action plans to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Create a plan for market drives, analyze the drive test data and implement changes to improve the network
Qualifications Senior year undergraduates or currently pursuing master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Available to travel up to 15% for training and program activities
Authorization to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
