The purpose for this role is to define, develop, and support part specific processes for product based on priorities set by the Engineering Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may participate in one or more of the following duties as directed by supervision or management.
Participate in developing and defining packaging that protects product from damage while processing, moving, shipping, and storing parts with the guidance of management or a management appointed mentor.
Create method/process documents that effectively communicate specific requirements.
Collaborate with Production and Quality as appropriate, to identify, propose, plan and implement packaging method/process refinements and enhancements.
Identify and communicate opportunities for potential part protection improvements to management.
Attend and actively participate in Engineering team meetings.
Provide troubleshooting support for production related activities.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree program of or related to Packaging Engineering.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Solidworks or similar CAD software and capable of learning M1 Manufacturing Planning system.
Ability to read and interpret prints that utilize GD&T.
Excellent reading comprehension.
Excellent communication skills.
Organized, with an aptitude for manufacturing processes.
Able to work with people in a professional manner.
Personnel performing acceptance activities of product shall have natural or corrected near-vision acuity of 20/20 in at least one eye per Titmus screening or equivalent.
