Job Description

Overview:

HKS is looking for a Visualization / Immersive Technology Specialist to join the Practice Technology team in Dallas. This candidate will work directly with the Firmwide Visualization Manager to develop stunning Immersive Environments for Architectural projects

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently on all phases of a visualization project including creating custom immersive experiences using game technologies like Unreal.
  • Understand and define requirements for real time or immersive visualization per project.
  • Help develop workflows for architectural visualization, virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences.
  • Work in a team environment, communicate updates, participate in discussions and research the best approach per project.
  • Research new tools and stay abreast of latest developments in the visualization industry.
  • Conduct training and share knowledge with a global group of designers and Immersive Technology Champions.
  • Represent HKS through presenting at industry conferences.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in the visualization industry with at least 2 years of developing for immersive experiences for games, architectural visualization or related field.
  • Demonstrable ability to create engaging Real time and Immersive experiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of real time development tools and concepts (Unreal preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of memory optimization techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to share ideas and solutions for improving functionality
  • Strong development and design sensibilities
  • Passion for emerging technologies

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Develop custom apps and scripts with game technologies for visualizing architectural models in VR, MR or AR environments.
  • Experience with AR development on mobile devices (including Mobile VR)
