Job Description

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a 3rd Shift BILINGUAL SPANISH PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR. In this position, the 3rd shift Production Supervisor will supervise employees to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Assures correct preparation of products and finished goods. Shared responsibility for new methods e.g. 5 S, Red Zone, standardize work, departmental goals, training, discipline, accountability, and methods improvements.

This is a 3rd shift position working 10:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday - Friday, with overtime and Saturdays as required.

This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.

  • Safety (line inspections, department safety audits, safety meetings)
  • Quality (high quality production, quality audits, clean environment) HACCP, Verification of CCP's
  • Lot control, inventory accuracy, and reporting
  • Develop and operate within SOPs
  • Cost/Production efficiency, maintenance, strategic planning for the continuation of production
  • Sanitation and housekeeping
  • Employee relations issues

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry required.
  • Communicate effectively, both in written and spoken English and Spanish required.
  • College degree is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Lead by example, professionally, morally and ethically.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast paced work environment that offers a challenge and complexity due to constant changes with production requirements and schedules.
  • Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities are required.
  • Ability to strategically plan to meet production schedules.
  • Utilization of leadership and teambuilding skills for employee growth and retention.
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft office programs and internet).
  • Fiscally responsible in department, facility and company, as a whole.
  • Experience with manufacturing machinery and inventory control is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Manufacturing environment with some allergen products

  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
  • The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat.
