Summary

This exciting entry-level position will be multi-dimensional and will range from forecasting, accounting, and tax compliance across all entities included in the consolidated federal income tax return and state compliance obligations across all jurisdictions.

This position will have incredible opportunities to analyze and distribute data from various financial systems, drive the federal and state tax compliance and ASC740 tax provision processes, work cross functionally with others inside and outside of the organization and implement tax technology solutions within a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team with the data gathering process including but not limited to:
    • Working in SAP running reports
    • Running reports with SAP Business, Planning and Consolidation (BPC) tool
    • Working with data in excel
  • Support and customize reports on a monthly and annual basis
  • Assist with updating and maintaining federal and state tax planning and compliance models for the company
  • Perform research, analysis and planning on federal tax issues such as:
    • Country by Country Reporting (Form 8975)
    • Maintain Federal fixed asset registers
    • Manage the Meals & Entertainment annual study
    • Calculate intercompany eliminations for tax return purposes
    • Quarterly reconciliation of Tax GL accounts to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting
  • Prepare state and local income, franchise, and gross receipts tax returns, supporting calculations, estimated payments and extensions
  • Prepare sales and use tax returns and supporting calculations
  • Prepare and manage:
    • Perform vendor certification compliance, review, and maintenance
    • Manage filing calendar
    • Thorough maintenance of paper and/or electronic work paper documentation
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and engage in the design
  • Proactively take initiative to complete tasks and implement solutions to resolve issues
  • Perform special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 0- 2 years work experience with accounting or tax
  • CPA and/or MBA or advance degree highly desirable for promotional opportunties
  • Highly motivated with the Ability to work within a team environment and improve processes. Share knowledge and willingness to learn from others.
  • Experienced in using the Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Experience with SAP (preferred)
  • Experience with One Source Income Tax and One Source Tax Provision (preferred)
