Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse operations while driving continuous improvement and ensuring cross-functional coordination. The Warehouse Supervisor will work directly with the Warehouse staff to ensure freight has been properly shipped according to customer requests. They will be responsible for creating processes and scheduling to cover all business needs.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Operational execution for all warehouse services required of CH Robinson Customers
  • Ensure all forklift operators are trained to follow the process
  • Ensure recurring training is performed
  • Oversee warehouse operations including safety, quality, cleanliness, 5S, continuous improvement, budgeting and inventory control
  • Manage receiving, inventory and shipping operations to ensure efficient flow and storage of materials including development of SOP's
  • Supervise receiving, inventory and shipping personnel and ensure proper staffing levels
  • Effectively communicate with management and across departments
  • Provide recommendations for warehouse design by product flow and handling
  • Oversee and assist as needed for all products in and out of the warehouse
  • Ensure all manifests, invoices, orders, shipping documentation, and forms are accurate
  • Create OS&D if needed
  • Ensure loads are wrapped quality standards and checks are being completed
  • Know, understand, and ensure team is following all warehouse safety requirements
  • Review and prepare any action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
  • Regular presence on the warehouse floor to oversee all operations
  • Troubleshoot all shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue the issue, and prevent reoccurrence
  • Motivate and coach the team members to achieve goals and KPIs
  • Administer policies and procedures
  • Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
  • Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2+ years of Warehouse Supervision experience or equivalent leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline -driven environment
  • Efficient in 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream-Mapping
  • Demonstrated past of developing and managing KPIs and metrics
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste
  • Experience with material and information flow
  • Ability to participate, lead, and teach lean warehousing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PDCA process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills and meticulous follow up
  • Strong Computer skills: specifically, with Excel
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience in a high volume/high transaction warehousing environment
