Job/Internship Description

Engineering interns at the JM Etowah, TN plant provide fast paced support and drive sustainable improvement to the manufacturing operation through efficiency improvements, equipment upgrades and driving higher levels of knowledge into the organization. The selected intern candidate will have full responsibilities of a process engineer- driving projects to completion that have direct impact to the business and will have the opportunity to showcase results to senior leadership at the end of the assignment.

Candidates must live within 250 miles of Etowah, TN in order to be considered. This internship will run from mid- May to the end of August 2021.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will provide engineering services for less complex technical problems and recommend a course of action
  • Candidate will provide engineering services for more complex problems under direct guidance of higher-level engineering personnel
  • Take an active part in the execution of product development projects
  • Assist Sr. Engineers on technical service initiatives with sampling, analysis, and recommendations
  • Develop and integrate product and process documentation ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Provide project status and laboratory reports as required

Requirements:

  • Education - Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Ceramic/Materials Science preferred)
