As an Engineering Intern or Co-op you’ll have the chance to help Altria shape the future and deliver winning results in an exciting and dynamic time. You'll experience on-the-job training, access to mentors and educational opportunities.
You'll be challenged and empowered to:
- Assist in project scoping, scheduling, budgeting and troubleshooting
- Document project work in formal reports and present findings/recommendations to Senior Management upon course completion
Note: Parallel Co-op participants will work on a part-time basis during the school year while attending classes. The typical work week for a Parallel Co-op is approximately 15-20 hours.
Those completing the internship Co-op are considered for full-time positions and entrance into Altria's Engineering or STEM Leadership Development Program
This Isn’t for Just Anyone – But It Could Be Perfect for You.
To qualify, student applicants must be:
- Rising juniors or seniors at the time of the internship in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred)
- Pursuing a relevant undergraduate Engineering degree program (Packaging, Chemical, Civil, Industrial, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer)
- Strong communicators with strategic, analytical and creative thinking skills and demonstrated leadership initiative

Candidates must pass a drug-screen and background check prior to employment. Housing assistance is available for eligible interns.
