Summary
Peoples Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is currently recruiting for an Auto Mechanic position out of various Chicago, IL shop locations. Shift assignments are determined by seniority and these positions may be assigned to the night shift.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper repair and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment by performing preventive maintenance, inspection and servicing.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Basic machining operations.
- Tire repairs.
- Basic computer skills.
- Technical Degree/Certification in Automotive/ Diesel Mechanics
- 1+ years - Previous Automotive Maintenance experience
- 1+ years - Basic PC skills
- Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
- Experience working with heavy trucks or off road construction equipment
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
