About our group:

The Customer Technical Engagement team is responsible for all technical engagements with our OEM, cloud, and channel customers.

About the role - you will:

You will actively contribute to the teams tactical and strategic efforts on customer qualification and quality engagements with Seagate's cloud and OEM customers. This provides an opportunity to work with the latest storage technologies, while providing excellent visibility interfacing with a number of functional teams within Seagate to accomplish key projects.

This role will include hands-on learning of both SSD and HDD storage devices and their usage within customer systems, to develop tests and execute customer qualification testing.

Projects may include:

  • SSD and HDD device testing
  • SSD and HDD device reconfiguration
  • Customer system testing
  • Test programming development work.
Location:

Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe - it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well. With wide-open spaces, the campus has plenty of space for running, biking, shooting some hoops or playing volleyball over lunch. About you:
  • Student pursuing a BS degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or a Computer or Physical Science degree. Candidate must be returning to school in Fall 2021.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated with desire to learn.
  • Ability to solve complex and dynamic problems.
  • Project management interest.
  • Structured programming skills and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest and comfort working in a fast paced environment within the tech industry.
