Job Description

SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER - Michigan State

Field Sales - Territory covers Michigan State and Norther Ohio area

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Maintain and grow established sales territory in the state of Michigan
  • Sales focus is heavy in the Transportation sector but will serve customers in the other markets - such as aerospace, medical, consumer, energy and industrial
  • Manages an existing customer base with a minimum sustained territory size of $15 to $30 million.
  • Territory will include transactional and strategic accounts with a potential of platinum accounts.
  • Generates a minimum of 10% new, profitable sales each fiscal year.
  • Spends up to 25% of time focusing on growth through new & existing customers via new and existing products.
  • Manages time and territory in conjunction with regional manager on a monthly basis.
  • Remote work / Home office can be withinthe sales territory - Greater Detroit area preferred

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Four year college degree, preferably in Marketing or a related discipline
  • Typically 5 years of sales/relationship management experience.
  • Knowledge of product offerings, product functionality and alloy applications - preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of markets and pricing practices/policies
  • Flexibility when faced with frequently changing priorities
  • Strong goal and results orientation; high energy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and arrive at good business decisions
