We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Technical Heart Failure Specialist. Working without appreciable supervision, is primarily accountable for providing Tier 2 technical support in response to phone based inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, patients and field staff. Provides the clinical and technical interface between the medical community and various Abbott departments. Exercises clinical judgment in planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing work. Remains abreast of and communicates technical advancements to colleagues and associates. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. Remains current on developments in field(s) of Heart Failure expertise, including regulatory requirements and knowledge of the company's products as well as department activities. Assures that quality of services meets or exceeds internal and external customer requirements WHAT YOU'LL DO * Provides on-call support for clinical and technical support services to health care professional and patient customers on the CardioMEMS HF System * Provides phone based technical or clinical information to customers in response to inquiries/reports from the field. * Performs product evaluations based on reports from the field. * Interfaces with engineering regarding new product development and sustaining issues. * Provides back-up support to Tier 1 Technical Support Representatives in the troubleshooting of issues that are brought forth by Field Clinical Engineering/Sales Representatives, Patients and Clinicians Provides and conducts product training to in-house personnel. * Assist with review and assessment of clinical study potential patients including review of patient records as needed and according to the protocol. * Reviews product manuals, communiques and memorandum for technical clinical accuracy and content. * Documents all contacts via an approved tracking system, writing Field Contact Reports for complaints per SMF guidelines. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING * Bachelor's Degree in Science or Degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related academic field. * Previous Nursing experience with heart failure patients in a clinical or hospital setting involving the CardioMEMS HF System. * Comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices. * Comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills. * Ability to establish/maintain good working relationships and be able to work cooperatively/productively with engineers, vendors, customers, and Field Clinical engineers is required. Preferred * Experience providing medical device industry technical support.
