Job Description
ASSEMBLY AND PACKAGING
1st Shift, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
Some overtime may be required during the week and on Saturdays as necessary.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must efficiently and effectively follow all manufacturing procedures required for each job.
  • Assemble foam, corrugated, or wood parts with adhesive, heat or mechanical methods as required.
  • Accurately record package counts and final part checks.
Pack finished parts in cartons, units, or plastic bags and properly identify with labels or
designated methods as required.
  • Make required measurements using a tape measure, or other measuring devices or gauges, and work from simple drawings or prints as required.
  • Perform all necessary adjustments to produce quality products.
  • Complete all quality check paperwork and procedures for each job produced.
  • Dispose of scrap by bailing and storing in a designated area as required.
  • Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to prevent personal injury.
  • Inform supervisor of any safety or quality issues.
  • Maintain equipment as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Regular, consistent physical attendance.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to read and understand the following:
    • Sales Orders and work instructions.
  • Ability to make accurate measurements using a tape measure or Vernier caliper.
  • Able to work scheduled work hours along with some required overtime.
  • Ability to perform all physical requirements for change over and operations for extended periods of time, including but not limited to:
    • Bending, reaching
    • lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
    • kneeling, stooping
    • stretching
    • standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (speak, read and write) with co-workers and work effectively as part of a team.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
      High School degree and/or equivalent preferred but not necessary.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
      Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not necessary. Will consider those without experience with a great attitude and a willingness to learn.  Forklift training is a plus but will train on site.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      Ability to pass a background and drug/alcohol screen test.


Starting Pay includes:   $15.00 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour attendance bonus if consistent, dependable attendance is maintained – for an effective regular wage of up to $17.00 per hourIncreases of 50¢ per hour after three months.  Another 50¢ per hour at six months, for an $18.00 hourly wage, if attendance bonus is maintained (further annual increases are possible).
