Job Description Summary

The successful candidate for this position will join a lean, dynamic and diverse legal team with direct responsibility for providing legal support to C&W's Owner & Occupier Services business in North America. The candidate will be responsible for proactively supporting the Owner & Occupier Services businesses, with a varied client base, and fostering C&W's dynamic, collaborative and practical culture. This position may also include providing ad hoc assistance on special projects as they arise and this position reports to the Assistant General Counsel - Owner & Occupier Services.

Legal Analyst - Owner & Occupier Services - Boston and Chicago

Essential Job Duties

  • Assist Senior Counsel and Corporate Counsel on the team to draft, negotiate, finalize and oversee the approval process for all commercial agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and request for proposal responses for the Owner & Occupier Services businesses in North America, which includes the following service lines: Global Occupier Services, Portfolio Solutions Center, Facility Solutions, Asset Services, Facility Services, and Project & Development Services.
  • Assist Senior Counsel and Corporate Counsel in contract scope review in consultation with business colleagues.
  • Consistently analyze and mitigate complex contractual risk, while increasing efficiency and consistency in contracting.
  • Assist in supporting litigation matters, bankruptcy claims and subpoenas for the Owner & Occupier Services businesses, in coordination with outside counsel and the Assistant General Counsel - Owner & Occupier Services.
  • Maintain contract templates, subcontract templates, and sub-delegation of authority.
  • Assist Assistant General Counsel - Owner & Occupier Services to develop training for internal clients and the North America Legal Group.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work under time-sensitive deadlines and be productive in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on procurement activities and with the North America Compliance Director on compliance matters.
  • Review and management of legal invoices.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Education/Experience/Training

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Requires 3 to 7 years of relevant experience
