Printpack's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team is seeking an intern for the period of July - December 2021. This internship will provide you with unique opportunity to work directly with EHS Site Management at our Grand Prairie Films Plant on the strategic implementation plan, developing and improving procedures, and all while improving your technical skills. This is a full-time position located in Grand Prairie, TX and will report to the Site EHS Manager. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience managing challenging projects and working with plants across the United States.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate Student, or Recent Graduate working towards, or who has completed, a Bachelor/Master of Engineering (in Environmental or Chemical) or a Bachelors/Master of Science (in Occupational Safetyor Occupational Health and Safety).

  • Ability to travel.

  • Ability to sort, manage, and display spreadsheet data for management decisions.

  • Ability or organize written documentation into filing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, training and programs to achieve and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Develop and implement adequate EHS programs for maintaining EHS data and the development of adequate databases to improve management of records.

  • Work with Corporate EHS staff in the preparation and submittal of requests for environmental permits relating to air quality, solid wastes, water quality and transportation of hazardous materials and waste.

  • Assist in maintaining environmental and health/safety records.

  • Develop working knowledge of federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations.

  • Interact with EHS Managers and corporate staff on various projects and initiatives.
