Job Overview

Komatsu is currently recruiting for an experienced technical writer to develop technical content for our forestry and construction products in Cartersville, Ga. Komatsu offers an excellent benefit package, competitive salary, annual bonus and yearly merit increase review.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Technical publication development for Service manuals, Operation and Maintenance manuals, and technical bulletins
  • Project Management of new products and product enhancements
  • System and workflow improvements using technology and project planning
  • Lead projects for improving internal and external systems to enhance the customer experience through content development and digital delivery
Qualifications/Requirements
  • BA/BS in engineering, technical communication, or related field, or 5-10 years equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of bills of materials, engineering change releases, and engineering drawings required.
  • Experience working with XML writing systems, DITA preferred
  • Experience managing projects on time.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office/365 and current applications proficiency.
  • Previous experience with Adobe products : Acrobat, Framemaker, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple teams
  • Strong technical background hydraulic/electrical/mechanical systems
  • Aptitude to research and quickly understand new machine technologies
