Primary Responsibilities
HDR is looking for a Real Estate Services Project Manager to join our Right of Way team in Atlanta, GA. Primary duties will include coordination of right of way and utility issues for clients, generally related to construction projects. The Project Manager must be proficient with federal, state and industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC and Uniform Relocation Act regulations. In conjunction with others, they will perform activities to support real property projects such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation, property management, construction coordination and utility relocation/coordination. They ability to work independently and document/communicate effectively are vital to this role. Work performance impacts schedule and budget so the ability to communicate effectively, availability for travel, ability to handle volumes of work and coordinate closely with management are important. The Project Manager may also be asked to supervise staff.
Required Qualifications
Real Estate license in good standing, as required by law
Minimum of 7 years of experience with right of way, title, utility, relocation, or property management
Must be familiar with Uniform Relocation Act and the Eminent Domain Process
Must have knowledge and understanding of documents related to title, appraisal, environmental, and surveys
Must be proficient with standard technology tools such as MS Office, Excel and Project Database
Position requires some client contact skills, strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to work with residential and commercial property owners
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred
GIS familiarity a plus
Local candidates are preferred
