Job Description

You will:
  • Serve as our trade compliance subject matter expert as you develop, implement, and monitorthe Companys trade compliance program and interface with the business regarding trade policies and procedures.
  • Enjoy wide visibility and exposure as you work with leadership at our U.S. and foreign facilities, including Plant, Logistics and Operations Managers, and Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and other departments.
  • Act as our key import/export resourceand strongly influence the execution of the compliance programby identifying gaps, making improvements, training stakeholders and more.

Reporting to the Vice President General Counsel and Security, as Trade Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Company's trade compliance program under applicable U.S. and foreign laws and regulations. You'll proactively liaise with the business on import/export requirements and serve as an SME regarding trade policies and procedures, training internal stakeholders as needed. In addition, you will provide support for other general compliance initiatives.

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Trade Compliance Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
  • 7+ years of relevant trade compliance experience. [[Question: 680180]]
  • Working experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), including anti-boycott regulations, sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customs Regulations (CR), and Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).   • Working experience with ECCN and HTS classifications and country of origin determinations; familiarity with NAFTA requirements and Maquiladora manufacturing structures a plus. [[Question: 680177]]
  • Familiarity with duty drawback programs and other opportunities to reduce duty exposure.
  • Ability to apply trade compliance knowledge and experience to complex issues with minimal need for external resources.
