Stanley Consultants is seeking a GIS Coordinator to lead the company's GIS group. The ideal candidate will be considered highly proficient in the GIS field, and bring expertise and leadership qualities to fulfill and continually develop the firm's GIS initiatives and business goals. Maintains positive client relationships and assists business development team to identify new clients and GIS services. Conducts complex work important to the organization, provides training, and mentors less experienced peers. Manages and administers ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure.

The candidate's background will have planning, engineering, and utility project experience with a diversity of private and government clients, preferably with the Department of Defense. Vast experience with utilizing ArcGIS Enterprise suite for planning, engineering, and utility projects, as well as the following database systems: SQL, Access, Maximo, BUILDER, Oracle.

Essential duties include:

  • Evaluate and implement emerging GIS systems and technology
  • Coordinate GIS projects and workload with the GIS team
  • Project management. Manage workload, budget, and schedule of projects.
  • Manage and administer ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure
  • Review, refine and improve GIS processes and develop efficiencies
  • Design, automate and develop complex GIS workflows and systems
  • Perform complex data conversions to meet workflow requirements
  • Interpret and design complex database schemas
  • Review work of other GIS Analysts and provide technical guidance
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of GIS mapping, databases and processes
  • Mentor GIS Analysts
  • Performs the duties of GIS Analyst, as required
  • Manage project geo-databases, mapping, analysis and reporting
  • Coordinate with clients on data collection and deliverables
  • Prepare reports and technical presentations.
  • Assist with marketing GIS services and proposal assistance
  • Integrate GIS and CAD files
  • Develop modules to analyze data and automate repetitive work
  • Help project team with quality control and document management

Required qualifications:

  • Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, Pro, Desktop, Collector for ArcGIS, Portal, AGOL, and web application platforms
  • Experienced with variety of database formats, preferably SQL, Access, Maximo, BUILDER, Oracle, and ESRI file geodatabase
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access to generate tables, reports and macros
  • Must have a minimum of 12 years of related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 20 years of related experience
  • Travel as required for field work, client interaction and participation in business development activities

Preferred qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in GIS or Geography
  • Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification
  • Significant prior work experience with Architecture-Engineering (A-E) firm(s)
  • Understanding and experience with SDSFIE data models for the Department of Defense
  • Good technical writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with AutoDesk and Bentley CAD/GIS products (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.)
  • Experience working with engineering and survey data
  • Experience with data analytics software (ex: Microsoft BI, Tririga, Tableau)
  • Holds Secret Clearance or ability to pass Government background check
