What will I be doing?
As a Lead Hadoop Developer, you will focus on our industry-leading product, IRI Lift. This product allows marketers to determine if their digital advertising campaign efforts are driving and impacting sales in real-time. In this role, you will use your knowledge in big data technology specifically Hadoop to partner with internal and external teams to analyze requirements to participate in the design and development of code to ensure consistency, quality, best practices, and performance of applications. By doing so you will allow our clients to receive an accurate and granular understanding of advertising campaigns' impact on offline and e-commerce sales.

• Lead the design and development of big data technologies
  Establish and provide architectural direction, and act as technical oversight on complex development projects
• Participate in the overall planning, execution, and success of the team by partnering with business partners, and other development teams in the organization
• Contribute to the successful delivery of the product technical strategy/road map
• Provide leadership & mentoring to other team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and designing big data solutions using Hadoop & Spark
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines in Hadoop/Spark using Hive
• Experience working in big data environments and developing data-driven, analytical applications
• Strong background in design and architecture review
• Experience with Bash or Shell scripting in a Linux environment
• Advanced programming experience with Java & Python
• Knowledge of different phases of SDLC
• Quick learner and open to learning new technologies in related areas
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with distributed teams
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving aptitude
