OVERVIEW

This position supports the timely launch of our client's diagnostic products-- in compliance with their quality requirements, regulatory requirements, and worldwide hazard communication regulations. Product development support activities to include: evaluating products for hazards, defining labeling requirements, contributing to and approving Risk Management Reports, approving product labeling and Instructions for Use, authoring and distributing Safety Data Sheets, and classifying components per Dangerous Goods regulations.

The Hazard Communication Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the product life cycle process is supported, according to established processes and procedures, to meet company and country regulatory requirements-- e.g., product hazard evaluations, Safety Data Sheets, Risk Management Reports, product labeling specifications, and Instructions for Use.

Note: We will consider remote candidates for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
    Analyzes Confidential Product Analysis (CPA) and Confidential Analysis-Third Party Manufacturer (CPA-TPM) forms submitted by internal and external technical groups (product developers) to define hazards and labeling requirements and complete documentation via Hazard Evaluation Letters (HELs)
  • Authors and distributes Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), classifies components for dangerous goods
  • Uploads documents (HELs, SDSs, etc.) to client databases for products as assigned
  • Maintains communication with assigned technical groups to obtain documentation necessary to support the product life cycle process
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
    • with 2+ years of experience in Hazard Communication
    • or MS with 1+ years of regulatory work experience
  • MS Office application and database experience desired
  • Experience with: chemical databases, SDSs, labels, life cycle management, product registration, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong chemistry background
  • Motivated, efficient, self-starter with time management skills
  • Ablility to work well on a team and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
