Job Description
Job DescriptionEssential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.1. Effectively engages youth and families in the therapeutic process and completes mental health assessments as appropriate utilizing a systems framework and trauma informed approach among other modalities. Clients are seen primarily in the community.2. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in providing short and long-term case management/counseling services as well as stabilization and support services to youth and families needing specialized intensive case management and behavioral health services. Meets programmatic benchmarks for productivity.3. Handles all client complaints as well as crisis situations in consultation with his/her supervisory chain and in compliance with Agency/programmatic policies and procedures and treats each case with sensitivity and expedience.4. Maintains up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by Agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.5. Knowledgeable about community resources and links clients to appropriate resources. Advocates on behalf of clients in order to ensure access to services for which the client is eligible.6. Consults with Agency partners regularly and ensures confidentiality of client information is maintained in compliance with all applicable laws and Agency policy.7. May provide group therapy, lead support groups, and psychosocial educational groups. Position will provide presentations to community groups and Agency partners' staff, volunteers, and clients. May provide recommendations and testimony for court.8. Participates in community meetings and represents the Agency regarding services provided as well as providing accurate and timely reporting to the Clinical Manager of the meeting discussions.9. Some evening and weekend hours required to meet client needs.PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.X Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds.X Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time.
