Vedder Price is seeking a mid to senior-level M&A associate (3rd to 8th year) to work within the Finance and Transactions Group in the Chicago, Los Angeles, New York or San Francisco office.

All Vedder Price associates are expected to provide high-quality legal service to the firm's clients, track all chargeable and non-chargeable time in keeping with the firm's policies and standards, and participate in business development, seminars, trainings and meetings in keeping with their practice area and the firm's policies and standards.

Candidates may apply for either the Chicago office, the Los Angeles office, the New York office or the San Francisco office.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Must have 3-8 years of transactional/M&A experience, preferably with private equity and/or venture capital experience
  • Candidates with a business, accounting, or MBA background are preferred
  • Must have a J.D. degree with a solid academic background
  • Must be admitted in (and in good standing with) the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois, California or New York) or taking steps to become admitted

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:

  • Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation:

  • $240,000 to $325,000 annual base salary
