We are looking for a Supply Chain Process Leader to be based in our Skokie, IL plant. The primary mission is to develop, implement, train, improve, measure and tactically support supply chain systems & processes in the manufacturing / supply chain operations. Measure compliance and assessment of the process maturity level to the Tenneco Operating System, take appropriate actions and the change management required to sustain the consistent execution of the formal business process. This position will ensure the process improvements are in-line with the overall Business System and wider business objectives around inventory management, material controls & process standardization. Strategic focus with tactical responsibilities to drive key metric performance and cost reduction within the material operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for material systems and processes within the supply chain operations
  • Key measure performance, continuous improvement of Material Control processes and procedures
  • Compliance to the Tenneco Operating System for the Material Control core competency
  • SME for Supply Chain processes, technology and training
  • Employ techniques / methods for effective problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Maintain Plan for Every Part / Master Data
  • SAP Super user, provide training and rollout of new material business process
  • Assess skill & capability gaps and deploy training for team development
  • Lead Special Projects
  • Work with regional and global teams to develop and implement standard supply chain processes

Required Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Operations

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of applicable supply chain experience; 2 to 5 years of formal leadership / management experience a plus
  • Advanced broad-based supply chain management, process development and manufacturing operations knowledge.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP ERP Systems
  • Demonstrated competency in the MS Office Suite of products
  • Above average communication skills - oral, written and presentation skills
  • Superior organization, planning, technical and negotiation skills
  • Superior process, analytical and problem-solving skills - apply / execute formal techniques (e.g. Kepner Tregoe, 8D)
  • Exposure to multiple disciplines (including IT, Purchasing, Operations, Finance....) Works and interfaces inside and outside the organization, with customers and suppliers
  • Aftermarket or consumer goods experience, automotive aftermarket a plus
  • Applied lean manufacturing techniques including value stream mapping, leveling demand, Kanban calculations and techniques
